Research at Thema

Clinical trials.

We take part in clinical research at Thema. Some patients we see are eligible to participate — if you are interested, ask us.

What it means

Access to what is not yet standard.

Clinical trials give patients a way to access treatments, tests, and monitoring that are not yet part of standard care. Some are studies of promising new medications. Others are studies of imaging, biomarkers, or screening tools.

Every trial has its own criteria — age, diagnosis, current medications, and other factors — and every trial is different. Study costs are typically covered by the sponsor. Participation is always voluntary, and you can leave a study at any time.

How to find out

Ask your provider at your next visit.

The best way to know whether you qualify for a trial is to ask us at your next visit. Your provider will know what studies are currently open, what would be required of you, and whether one is a fit for your situation.

Already have an appointment?

Plan to ask about clinical trials while you are with us.

New patient?
